There are only a few days left to turn in your financial aid forms to access Free Cash For College.
You must complete and mail two forms--your FAFSA Form and your GPA Verification Form--by next Monday, March 3, to access many different kinds of available financial aid. This includes Cal Grants, up to nearly $10,000 per year of free cash for college for qualifying families.
If you need to obtain a FAFSA or have technical questions about the FAFSA or Cal Grants, you can talk to a high school college counselor or call the California Student Aid Commission at 888-224-7268 or www.csac.ca.gov.
Remember: a college graduate today makes, on average, $1 million dollars more over a lifetime than someone with only a high school degree.
I want to make sure that every L.A. family knows about the many resources available to help make college affordable and accessible. For more info, visit our web site at www.lafreecashforcollege.org or contact the California Student Aid Commission at 888-224-7268 or www.csac.ca.gov.
Congratulations to you for taking this very important step towards college.
Regards,
Mayor Jim Hahn
